Felted Booties

The felted ankle tab bootie pattern is finally here! Available for purchase at my Etsy shop or on Ravelry. I've been working on perfecting this pattern since I first opened my Etsy shop in May of last year.  After much trial and error I think I've finally done it!

These booties are rock solid, adjustable, easy for kids to get on and off, stay put thanks to the velcro closure, and what's more is that they are quick and EASY!!!   Pattern comes in 4 sizes, has detailed felting instructions (perfect for your first felting project) plus instructions on how to make the slippers non-skid.  Enjoy!

DIY Cashmere Insoles

So you've crocheted yourself a lovely pair of slippers.  Now you may want to make them over the top comfy and create your own cashmere insoles. So let's get started!

Step 1: Get a cashmere sweater, preferably one that matches your slippers' color scheme.  I grab mine at Goodwill and Salvation Army thrift stores sometimes for as little as $3 each.  When thrifting, don't worry about small stains or holes, this just means a better price!

Step 2: Throw your sweater in the washer and dryer.  Make sure you add additional clothing to the wash, run the wash with hot water, and on a heavy duty setting.

Step 3:  Set your slippers on top of a piece of your sweater and trace around them with a marker.

Step 4: Cut out your insoles.

Step 5:  Spray a little fabric adhesive on the bottom of the insoles and carefully slide them in  your slippers.  I start at the heel and roll the insole up to the toe.

Step 6: Sit back, relax and enjoy your supremely comfy slippers!
